Biography

Nick David’s wide ranging career has so far covered many aspects of the entertainment industry and he has appeared on many radio and  television networks as host and musician.

His broadcasting skills include presenting and producing both music and speech based programs for radio and television, together with news, phone-ins and interviews. He has interviewed not only top recording artists, but also sports personalities and actors including Renee Zellweger, Hugh Grant, Henry Cooper, Colin Firth, Robbie Williams, Elton John, Vanessa Paradis, Sir Steve Redgrave, Jeremy Paxman and Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne.

His radio career began through a chance meeting with a Program Director who was impressed by his knowledge of music and ability to convey his enthusiasm for music to an audience. This resulted in him being invited to present the afternoon show.

Nick’s experience as a presenter and his knowledge of music (including 60’s to current pop, rock, CHR, smooth jazz, country, easy listening and soul) has led to work on terrestrial, cable and satellite stations as both DJ/presenter and music consultant. For 18 months, he hosted and produced a daily music radio program broadcasting to more than 30 countries.

For more than five years he presented programs for a number of radio stations across London and the south of England, and a weekly show for a radio station in Milan, Italy .

His style of presentation includes a great deal of humor and listener interaction. He completes considerable research before every show for interesting and entertaining material relevant to the audience and coverage area. Nick enjoys outside broadcasts and presenting his show from unusual locations. He has even presented a live show from a tall ship sailing off the South East of England while undertaking tasks including climbing 20 metres up the mast, another from a helicopter, a hot air balloon, and one from an army tank while crushing cars! He also produced an award winning weekly Talk/Sport program on Saturday afternoons and was also commissioned to devise, write and host a unique radio quiz for Quay Radio, which ran for five years.

He has hosted more than 50 outside broadcasts and events for audiences in excess of 10,000 people and is frequently asked to appear at store openings and events.

Nick has presented the morning drive show on numerous stations in London and the South of England, was Program Director and Morning Drive Host at WINFM until he left to join Easy Radio London. His show aired across London and the south on terrestrial radio, nationwide on DAB Digital Radio, and simultaneously on the Sky satellite network to the whole of the UK and Europe. He was also heard on New York ’s talk station, 92.3 Free FM.

As a song-writer and pianist, he has written songs for a number of artists, worked a several movie scores and played with some of the world’s most successful artists.

Nick is also President of the US company TransAtlantic Creative Inc., which provides radio and television production services to the industry.
